Without knowledge, intelligence, free agency and choices, we are idiots! Spirits born in the pre-existence were just like little children born in this world–completely helpless, totally dependent on others and without any agency. But as we grew older and began to learn, we could make our own choices and decisions. We selected our schooling, occupations, and friends. We also chose the kind of principles and standards we wanted to live by, and even the kind of kingdom we wanted to live in. We voted for our government over there just as we vote for it here.
