Ann Millan has been a developmental disability advocate for over forty years, working with parents and professionals at the federal, state, and local levels. Her daughter, Robin, has autism, including significant language, academic, behavior, and visual problems. Robin graduated from high school with a ‘certificate of attendance.’ Ann knows firsthand the importance of self-confidence and determination to make the right decisions, and to keep moving forward, for your child’s benefit. Taking Robin’s classic autism and her advocacy a step further, Ann has written a book, Autism-Believe in the Future, from Infancy to Independence (www.autism-believe-future.com). Ann lives with her husband, Bob, in Clearwater, FL. They have three girls; the third, Robin, has autism. Today Robin is a cashier, lives in her own condo, drives, is off Social Security Disability...and loves her life.
