Ethan McCord is an 8 year veteran of the US Navy & Army.  He deployed in 2007 to New Baghdad, Iraq as part of George W. Bush's SURGE. While in Iraq, he saw many terrible incidents against its people. He began to question the US involvement in Iraq & his involvement. On July 12, 2007, his unit is in a video released by Wikileaks in what has become one of the most infamous archives from the Iraq War. The video, "Collateral Murder," has been viewed by millions across the globe & has become what he calls "a glimpse of life for every citizen of Iraq & Afghanistan." He is seen in the video pulling children from a van that was devastated by the crew of US Army APACHE helicopters. He was then berated by his leaders for his actions that day. He has since become an activist against the American led wars in the middle east & elsewhere. He was the subject of a documentary, "Incident in New Baghdad," which has won many awards. He speaks to audiences about his experiences in the military. He's also working on a book.
