Second Kings two we see King David has grown older and preparing to die. He loved God and spoke to his son who was taking his place as King. He wanted Solomon to love and obey God as he did, he wanted his son to be a good man in God. David remembered the things that had taken place even against him. He reminded his son of these things. The main thing King David wanted of his son was for him to remember the God of God apply it to his life and the lives of the people.
