When most of us think about someone committing suicide, we don’t usually think about the very young or the very old. Yet we know that children as young as 5 commit suicide and that it happens to the very old, as well.
There are many factors that might contribute to an elderly individual deciding to suicide and we will be discussing them during this broadcast today.
It seems that when people become elderly, they become invisible. Others do not notice them or engage with them. It is as though they become a throw-away generation.
