WHAT FUEL ARE YOU USING? HEBREWS 4:1-2 SAYS,
HEBREWS 4:1-2, Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. 2For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. 3For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.…
WE HAVE TO REMEMBER, THAT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD.
Most Christians do not need to hear another sermon. We have had more than enough sermons to change the world, but it has not happened. The main reason is because we have not been challenged to act on the word. The word preached should inspire sufficient faith within us to step out and act on what the Holy Spirit gives us to do. Faith is an action word: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22 ). Verse 2 – “For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.” Your faith is the active ingredient that, when added to God’s Word, causes that Word to come to pass in your life. We are without excuse. We go to church, just going through the motions. Let's stop and think God is soon to come.
