Repentance

The key to true deliverance is repentance. This means to change one's mind as with regard to past or intended action of personal conduct. One must feel regret and determine in the heart sin is recognized, confessed and forsaken. There can be no full deliverance where a person's sin is a major factor, unless there is a frank recognition of it and willingness, with the help of God's grace, to give it up.

“For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death," (II Cor.. 7:10).
