Why do we observe Communion?

We observe Communion because the Lord told us to. We are to obey His commands:

1 Corinthians 11:24 " And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me."

In observing Communion we are remembering Christ and all that He has done for us in his life, death and resurrection:
