But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul), filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him and said, O full of all subtlety and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Spiritualism or necromancy is an occult activity grounded in the belief that through certain persons acting as mediums or channels (psychics, necromancers, channelers, etc). The dead or the spirit world can be contacted and hidden information can be acquired from those contacted. Trances and séances are often used by the medium. The power behind this activity is demonic. This activity is forbidden by the Lord. (1 Chron. 10:13), “So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it,” (1 Sam. 28:7), gives the context).
