Jocelyn is a senior in the Center for Information Technology at Deep Run High School in Glen Allen, Virginia. Her proudest accomplishment is the community initiative she founded and manages, named Got Tec Richmond, which combines her interests of technology and community service. Its mission is to donate and deliver needed technology equipment to under-served schools in the Richmond, Virginia area. Got Tec also organizes and teaches "Learn-to-Code" events using Scratch and Python at Elementary and Middle schools, and organizes technology equipment giveaway contests for teachers in the surrounding area. Got Tec has been able to donate over $30,000 of technology equipment to over 120 separate classrooms in over 80 schools, and has held "Learn-to-Code" Days in dozens of schools. Got Tec has been formally recognized as a Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Winner, a She++ fellowship Winner, an RVATECH Community Innovation Award Finalist, and by several local and national politicians and state department directors. At her school, she takes courses in AP Computer Science Principles, IT Project Management, Honors Programming, AP Computer Science , Dual Enrollment Web Design and Development, Dual Enrollment Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architecture. She has also taken Digital Media Art and Design 1, 2, and 3, using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. At Deep Run, Jocelyn is an officer in the Center for Information Technology, a member of the Computer Science Honor Society, and a member of the Girls of CIT.
