A horror film that's also a ballet? Really?? Well, absolutely!
Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin (Tales From the Gimli Hospital, My Winnipeg, Brand Upon the Brain, The Saddest Music in the World) is a very iconoclastic talent. whose films are reminiscent of early 1920's silent films. Clouded in sepia tones, his visuals are unique- and Dracula:Pages From a Virgin's Diary is a film he did with the participation of the Winnipeg Ballet Company.
It tells the story of /Dracula in dnace- with a superb musical score taken from the works of Gustav Mahler.
