The Chocolate War is based on the Robert Cormier novel- and scripted by director Keith Gordon. It's about a young man entering Catholic High School (Jerry- portrayed by Michael Ilan Smith) and the obstacles he encounters with the head Monk (John Glover in a truly viscious performance) and the secret student society "The Vigils"- with great performances by Wallace Langham as Archie & Doug Hutchinson as Obie.
The Chocolate War also co-stars Jenny Wright (Near Dark) and Bud Cort (Harold and Maude)
Be warned- this is a dark and definitely disturbing film....
