Isaiah states, “No weapon fashioned against you shall prevail; every tongue you shall prove false that launches an accusation against you. This is the lot of the servants of the Lord, their vindication from me, says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
This is what Jesus Himself acknowledges, “and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.”
Ephesians 2:19-20 states, “So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.” We are part of a body that has a foundation.
Luke 10:16 states, “Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” This is especially troubling for Protestants to be able to answer. Jesus is clearly giving his Apostles His authority.
The consequence of Christ alone is the “me and Jesus” complex, this is why there are 40,000 Protestant groups and subgroups that cannot agree on the teaching of Christ. In fact division is the opposite affect of Christ’s glory.
