Our guest on Monday, 12/23/13 at 8PM MST is Keven Schoeppel.  Kevin was raised in in Southern Baptist churches, and began teaching the Bible in 1992. In 1999 he was ordained as a deacon and in 2006 was elected Adult Education Director of the church. He began doing public speaking regularly on Sunday nights from 2006-2008, and on Sunday mornings in the pastor’s absence.

Kevin’s interest in psychics began in 1975 when he fell in love with a girl who could predict the future. This relationship sparked his interest in social attitudes towards psychics, as well as in discovering what he could about how psychicability worked. He married his wife, Stanna—also a psychic—in 1978.

While teaching his adult Bible-study classes, paranormal shows such as “Medium” began to appear on television, and his students began to have questions for Kevin on what the Bible says about psychics and mediums. Kevin also began to make friends much more easily with mediums, many of whom were pleasantly surprised at his unconditional acceptance of them.

At the encouragement of his wife Stanna, and their medium friend Melanie, Kevin began writing The Bible: The Truth about Psychics & Spiritual Gifts in 2012, based upon his findings that the Bible did not support the church’s assertion that psychic and mediumship abilities were evil in origin, but rather were bonafide spiritual gifts from God. The book was published in May, 2013.

As a result of the book, Kevin has been the featured guest on several Internet talk shows.

Kevin lives near Tucson, Arizona with his wife Stanna and their son Ryan.
