This is a bilingual broadcast about Venezuela and the economic-political-social issues they are experiencing. We had three Venezuelan panelists: Julieth Torrellas, Irania Macias Patterson and Ricardo Matta and had callers from Venezuela and Nicaragua sharing their stories. This shows is bilingual (Spanish/English) with light translations both ways

Charlotte View has been following the chaos in Venezuela and wonders ~ like millions of people around the world ~ What is going on? During this interview, we are going to bring several Venezuelans that live inside and outside the country in an attempt to raise awareness with facts of what is happening. The interview will be in English and Spanish (light translation where needed).
Little background information (as published by CNN):
Nationwide student protests started this month (February 2014). On February 12, the demonstrations attracted global attention when three people were killed. - Venezuelans have taken to the streets, leading to gruesome clashes between protesters and police. Their demands are varied, from economic to social.
Some blame Venezuela's government, led by President Nicolas Maduro, for those problems. Maduro and other officials blame the opposition for the security and economic problems.

Top Venezuelan officials have accused the US of trying to destabilize the government. Three U.S. diplomats were given 48 hours to leave the country, accusing them of conspiring to bring down the government. Many of Maduro's claims -- of U.S. intervention, of assassination plots -- were also lobbed by the late President Hugo Chavez.
