A hurricane sweeps across the country, and churches hundreds of miles away want to offer support.  A war halfway around the world is creating huge numbers of refugees, and we want to be of meaningful help but don't know where to begin.  Countless people near and far don't have enough food, medicine, or access to clean drinking water, but you don't personally have the contacts, the know-how, the equipment, or the language and cultural skills to bring relief.  But... someone else who is in connection with your local congregation probably does have those skills, abilities, or resources.  And by working together, our will to help from our own neighborhoods can actually help people across the street or across an ocean.  In other words, one of the positives of congregations belonging to denominational bodies are the ways we partner with them to do ministry that we cannot do alone.  In this episode of our series exploring the joys and heartaches of a church that exists in parallel "denominations" around the world, pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve look at how our denominations and church bodies offer the infrastructure to do ministry and live out our mission more fully and effectively than we could do alone.  Join us for this week's conversation here on Crazy Faith Talk!
