Sacramento, CA – Kelley Gardner is owner and founder of her own first rate anesthesia practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 4 years at Dignity Methodist Hospital in Sacramento, CA.  She has worked as a CRNA for 24 plus years.  Many of the years were in rural areas, which are profoundly underserved.

Kelley’s magnificent career path started when she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing and became a top- notch trauma ER nurse for approximately 15 years.   When she realized her penchant was patient care, Kelley applied to graduate school for Nurse Anesthetist and worked diligently at Kaiser hospital while acquiring invaluable medical life -saving experience till she finally settled on opening up her own solo practice.  For many years Kelley traveled to small towns administering safe anesthesia.

According to Kelley there is a shortage of nurse Anesthetists and this will hopefully turn around in the near future.  In order to succeed you must spend many years of intense training, hard work, and the upmost dedication to administer safe anesthesia.

“You must be vigilant and on your toes at all times,” says Kelley. Currently, her specialty and business is focused in Labor and Delivery Anesthesia.  “ In the emergency the Nurse Anesthetists are the ones in control.  Surgeons deliver the babies and we take care of mom and baby’s mental and emotional well-being by providing much needed support.”
