Boyton Beach, FL - Women have proven they possess exceptional skills and knowledge to take on executive and management positions, but less than five percent of top leadership positions are held by women.

Rev. Dr. Carmela Nanton is a renowned executive coach, ordained minister, educator, speaker and founder of Carmel Connections Inc., dedicated to coaching and developing women into empowered leadership roles and helping companies create workplace cultures where everyone can thrive.

“My passion is to change the way we think about leadership,” says Dr. Nanton. “I educate, encourage, and empower leaders, teams, and women to lead from the power within.”

Management roles have been predominantly the dominion of men. As a woman, and a woman of color, Dr. Nanton’s mission is to reshape and transform current leadership practice.

“I aspire to be the voice or catalyst for women’s leadership,” says Dr. Nanton. “In motivating and inspiring them to be proactive I work diligently to assist people with realizing how beneficial it is to create collaborative partnerships with women, empowering them to fulfill their leadership aspirations.”

According to Dr. Nanton, society says we can be anything we want to be, but social norms contradict the aspirations of women who are ambitious. Dr. Nanton’s passion centers on creating a workplace context where the glass ceiling for women is removed and women can lead in their personal power.

“It is important that everyone has the freedom to impact the world, if that is their calling and destiny” says Dr. Nanton. “Strong, transformative, authentic and effective leadership can emerge from any group in the 21st century.”
