San Mateo, CA – Though the nature of our workforce is changing rapidly, human resources–the ability to negotiate, mediate, help people work through issues–will always be an integral part of any successful organization.

For 25 years, Diana Clarke has served as a senior HR leader and strategist within large, complex global technology and business divisions for organizations such as Google, Amazon and Callaway Golf Company.

Recently however, Clarke has established her own independent strategic human resource solutions consultancy Clarke Business Counsel, which offers premier HR consulting and executive coaching services.

“When you think of consulting, there’s a lot of telling,” explains Clarke. “You’re telling them how to run their business, giving them guidance on policy and precedent setting. With coaching, it’s more about asking questions and helping leaders discover solutions for themselves. My philosophy and my goal for Clarke Business Counsel is a hybrid of the two things together.”

Clarke provide business and technology leaders with an unbiased perspective of their organization and assist them in assessing their current organizational capabilities and how changes may impact a company and its employees. ?

“It’s about being a resource for individuals to communicate their concerns,” says Clarke. “It’s important for there to be an open door so these issues can be surfaced. Without it, people will leave the organization because they don’t feel comfortable anymore.”
