Lansdale, PA – We find ourselves in uncertain times, especially when it comes to our healthcare. What is the future of healthcare? Not just how to pay for it, but how it’s administered.

Once physicians believed they were the center of healthcare; they had the education, training and experience. But not anymore. Now the patient is the center of healthcare. Because they’re no longer just a patient, they’re a customer.

Dr. Ewa Kleczyk is a senior level healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing science executive for Symphony Health Solutions. Kleczyk heads a team analyzing large healthcare data to determine how the pharmaceutical industry can maximize its efficiency and succeed in the new paradigm created by the Affordable Care Act.

“What is the patient’s role in the customerization of our industry?” asks Kleczyk. “How do we leverage healthcare data to understand patients’ behavior and physicians’ pathways to diagnoses and the treatment process?”

Originally from Poland, Kleczyk is well-known throughout the pharmaceutical marketing science industry as an innovative leader who not only moves the industry forward but also empowers and mentors young women to pursue careers in the healthcare industry.

“I think the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry is going to create a better environment for curing chronic diseases, such as cancer, as well as help provide better quality of life for patients who are terminally ill,” says Kleczyk. “The progress in the industry will depend on all of us leaders and policy makers working together collaboratively, while keeping the patient in the center of our discussions and decisions.”
