Salem, OH – When you can use your creativity as a vehicle for healing, the result is empowerment.

Betsy Theodore is the author of Dance With Your Journey, a collection of inspirational and uplifting poetry and quotes.

“A self-help poem or quote can give one light for another day,” says Betsy. “Dance With Your Journey is about loving life and truly embracing every moment given to us. Always dance with your journey.”

Self-published this April, Dance With Your Journey is culled from a lifetime of expression in the face of adversity. Adopted at age 3 by an incredible family, Betsy was only nine years old when she wrote her first quote: “My life is a beautiful note in God’s symphony.”

“My writing has always been therapeutic for me,” says Betsy. “When I wrote about my feelings, I knew from people’s reaction that it was different for a kid. My book includes poetry I wrote as a child, my poetry in school and my poetry today. It’s basically my journey of learning to be confident as a woman.”

At 22, Betsy was diagnosed with endometriosis, requiring chemotherapy.

“I started writing more seriously after my illness,” recalls Betsy. “It changed me completely. Being 22 years old and being told I had this went through a lot of changes at a very young age both emotionally and physically. I started living my life.”

Inspiring, beautiful and enlightening, poems like “Ocean’s Desire” and “Weary Boots” evoke the sensations of life and remaining present in our gratitude.

Dance With Your Journey is available on Amazon.
