Lawton, OK – We often get so wrapped up in what’s happening to us, we believe we’re the only ones who have ever had to deal with our problem. No matter what we go through, someone else has already gone through it. You’re not alone. There’s someone out there to help you.

Cheryl Ginnings is an international speaker, best-selling author and the founder of Cheryl Ginnings Consulting. Drawing on her personal experience caring for a special needs child, Cheryl speaks with a sincere heart to uplift and inspire others.

“I understand the problems these families face,” says Cheryl. “They have no voice unless we speak up for them. I want to be that voice, and it’s my responsibility to help others find their voice as well.”

In the recently published #LOVE: A New Generation of Hope compiled by Anita Sechesky, Cheryl shares how having a son with cerebral palsy has brought so much love into their home. Cheryl's story is a reminder that out of the pain of suffering can come many blessings, but it takes courage to overcome.

Today, Blake is 45 years old. He loves sports, going on trips and pizza. But according to Cheryl, many parents aren’t equipped to handle the major financial burdens of their special needs children. In addition, feeling consumed by another person’s needs can lead to isolation and loneliness. She says the number one problem parents face is wondering what other people think of them.

“Your attitude is the key to how you live your life,” says Cheryl. “We knew why Blake had cerebral palsy, but it didn’t answer what we were going to do about it. You have to fight for your children and leave that negative attitude behind you."
