Kainai Reserve, Alberta – The key to building our wellness foundation is a capacity to see a hopeful future. Coaching can empower us to see the problems that seem to catch us in an unending cloud. Whether we self-medicate our depression, or we are just struggling without the joy that we envy in others, there is help.

Carol Many Chief is a multi-phasic health care practitioner and the founder of A Healthy Hope-Integrated Health Care Services. As a registered, licensed and insured health care provider in Alberta, A Healthy Hope offers services of treatment for long term and overlapping conditions.

Current primary care medicine is about treating symptoms, but our physical conditions do not exist in a vacuum. Stress, lifestyle, emotion, and spirituality are only part of the complexity of our unique life. Each area affects another. Prevention, treatment management, harm reduction and resilience are all key to managing chronic health issues.

According to Carol, wellness coaching is about choices, chances, changes, and challenges. As a coach, Carol and her team provides individual, client-centered programming, a variety of self-management tools, support, training and cultural perspectives to empower positive outcomes.

“We are all created as physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual beings,” says Carol. “I have come a long way through my own challenges of abuse, aggression, addiction and depression. So the fact that I am still going is one of my greatest strengths."
