Peoria, IL Most of us never truly experience joy. Sure, we find pleasure and entertainment, but rarely do we find fulfillment, connection and mission. So how do we create a life that feels good, means something, and gives us a sense of mastery over ourselves and our relationships? How can we become the pilot instead of getting dragged along for the ride?

Bonnie Wunderly is a certified professional coach and the founder of Joy Life Coaching, which specializes in providing Christian life coaching to individuals.

“I’ve always been interested in self-actualization: what is our purpose in life and what prevents us from achieving it?” says Bonnie. “All those things are the material of life coaching. This is about getting clarity of purpose and developing a strategy to accomplish what you want, while being mindful of what stops us from achieving our goals.”

According to Bonnie, Christian Life Coaching is quite similar to more traditional life coaching; the only difference is with Christian Life Coaching, we invite God into the process. Inviting God into this process can give us inspiration we need to understand how to accomplish what we hope to accomplish.

“Prayer can be very powerful and healing, but life coaching is future oriented; it’s focused on the positive: on success and fulfillment and joy,” says Bonnie. “I believe that God is real. We can have a relationship with Him, He desires that, He wants to be part of our lives. God knows us better than we know ourselves so when you bring God into the equation it makes the work even more powerful.”
