Colorado Springs, CO – It was once believed that communicating with the dead was either the result of emotional disturbance or the work of charlatans. In recent years, however, many clinicians have come to recognize these experiences, whether real or imagined, can offer individuals the solace and hope they desperately seek.

Donna Price is a psychic medium who specializes in helping individuals contact loved ones who have passed.

“The spirits speak through me to relay messages to their loved ones,” says Price. “These experiences can be extremely cathartic for individuals who have experienced loss. They give the sitter clues that there’s life on the other side. Of course it’s emotional, but it’s a happy emotion.”

Price interacts with angels and communicates with the deceased utilizing psychometrry, the ability to receive impressions from an object like a photo of deceased loved one. Price says she first realized she had these gifts as a young child, but suppressed them because she couldn't understand them.

“When I was 12 years old, I used to read the comic strips and the obituaries,” recalls Price. “One time I saw my grandfather’s obituary. He passed away a week later. In my 30s, I touched a picture of a missing person’s card and I was transported to a mother and a child in the woods. I had to put the card down.”

While Price helps to guide her clients during their times of grief, she says her first priority is to empower them to overcome life's challenges and succeed in their endeavors.

“I know I was born with the gift. It used to scare me, but not anymore,” says Price. “It’s a blessing, but I don’t get caught up in my gift. It’s a gift from my creator and I worship my creator and not my gift.”
