Depew, NY – “It has been determined that it will be necessary to examine your individual tax return.” For clients who receive that dreaded letter from the IRS, certified public accountant Rosemarie Christina Steeb tells them it’s just “fan mail.” It’s designed to scare you, but whatever issue you may be having should, with a lot of patience, be relatively easy to resolve.

Steeb is a CPA specializing in income tax preparation services for individuals, trusts, public charities and private foundations. For over 30 years, Steeb has brought her exceptional grasp of the complex issues associated with tax compliance and risk mitigation to help her clients avoid the disruptive consequences of unsatisfied tax burdens.

“Most of my clients come to me because they have an issue; either a taxing authority has contacted them or they realize they haven’t filed,” says Steeb. “I’ve always been able to navigate some rather complex rules and requirements and present that information in a way my clients can understand. People think of the IRS as a big machine. But guess what? It’s run by people just like you and me.”

Though Steeb says she’s proud of her reputation in the community as someone willing to help the little guy with a big problem, her real passion is in education, both for her clients as well as future accountants.

“People rely on their accountants a great deal, but I actually prefer that my clients not rely on me. I’m grateful for that trust, but I want them to be educated and aware.” says Steeb. “That’s what I believe accounting is really about, so I very much want to pass on my knowledge to students who are entering the workforce. There’s a broad spectrum of disciplines you can pursue to help people.”
