Miami, FL – According to a recent estimate by the Center for Disease Control, nearly 90 percent of all doctor visits in the U.S. are triggered by stress. Though we know the extent to which psychological issues can influence our physical health, the common course of treatment remains a combination of therapy and medication that a patient may have to depend on possibly for the rest of their life.

Dr. Mary Weatherford is a licensed clinical psychologist and an expert in EEG Biofeedback, more commonly known as Neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is a safe, painless, and non-invasive train-the-brain process that helps people overcome many physical and mental problems related to the flow of information through nerve cells in the brain.

“NeurOptimal Neurofeedback helps your central nervous system to be the best it can be,” says Dr. Weatherford. “When the nervous system functions well, everything else – the physical, mental, and emotional – falls into place.”

NeurOptimal Neurofeedback is neither a medical treatment nor is it considered therapy. It simply allows us to train our brain to self-regulate. NeurOptimal Neurofeedback training has been known to help patients’ brains learn to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, Head Injuries, Sleep Disorders, chronic pain and migraines.

“I really enjoy seeing my patients with a smile on their face when the session is finished,” says Dr. Weatherford.

Today, Dr. Weatherford helps patients reach their optimal potential in mind, body, and spirit through a combination of NeurOptimal Neurofeedback, Hypnotherapy, EMDR, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and/or Medical Psychotherapy.

Says Dr. Weatherford: “I’m most proud of being able to facilitate changes in my patients’ lives so they can establish a better quality of life."
