Part 2: Close-Up with Renee Roth-Hano, Author and Educator

New York, NY – The rollercoaster of life can take people upon a glorious journey of ups and downs. Perhaps it is in our darkest hours that we truly see who we are and what we are capable of. As a child, Renee Roth-Hano and her family found themselves trapped in their native France during World War II. As French Jews in Nazi occupied France, Renee and her family endured unbelievable hardships. When she successfully escaped, she decided to dedicate her life to helping others and giving back to the world.

Renee would eventually relocate to the United States where she became a successful Clinical Social Worker, Associate Professor, and Author. Renee’s impressive educational and professional background includes earning her Master’s degree in Social Work, working over 20 years as a licensed Social Worker in New York, and teaching at New York University for 12 years as an Associate Professor.

“I survived with the help of others. Helping people through crisis and making a difference in another persons life is the greatest feeling to me,” exclaims Hano.

As an author, Renee has been able to share vivid accounts of all that she has witnessed firsthand in her life. Renee’s list of works include Touch Wood: A Girl in Occupied France, the sequel Safe Harbors, and Touchons du bois! to name a few.
