Obstacles and dilemmas are a part of life. The many varying levels of difficulties people face can have serious lasting effects. For some, it may seem impossible to overcome what lies ahead. With over thirty years experience in clinical social work and therapy, Dr. Eileen Epstein has assisted people of all ages from all ethnic backgrounds in not only facing their obstacles, but overcoming them and regaining control of their lives.

Dr. Epstein’s impressive educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Hunter College, a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with specialization in Human Sexuality from Montclair State University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers, and a PhD in Clinical Social Work from NYU.

The areas of expertise Dr. Epstein covers includes anxiety, depression, sexual, relationships, addiction, and stress management to name a few.

“Most traditional therapy is a lot of left-brain work… analyzing, giving reasons and explanations as to what makes you tick but it can take years to see change or improvement. What I’ve found with new methods such as EFT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy) and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) is that people are seeing results much faster and the results truly hold in their lives,” exclaims Epstein.

Conducting sessions through Skype and with offices in Baltimore and Jersey City, Dr. Epstein’s accessibility to her patients’ needs is truly a testament to her devotion to her work. “We all have natural healing tendencies within ourselves. The healing experience is vital to change and I truly love being with people and sharing that experience together.”
