Montreal, QC – The path to Olympic glory requires focus, determination and sacrifice. In 1992, Penny Vilagos and her sister Vicky won silver medal in synchronized swimming representing Canada at the Summer Games in Barcelona. In the years since, Vilagos has found success as an “Olympian who inspires excellence,” sharing the lessons and values that allowed her to achieve her Olympic dream.

“To make it to that podium was certainly an amazing journey and the lessons I learned along the way have served me well.” recalls Vilagos.

With a clear understanding of what it takes to succeed in sports and business, Vilagos’ keynote speaking engagements both motivate and inspire, designed to give you and your team the passion and commitment necessary to achieve a winning edge.

“To have true teamwork everybody is on the same page with the same objective and the same focus,” says Vilagos. “It’s about working toward something greater than yourself."

And Vilagos’ story is all the more inspiring when you consider how unlikely it was. Though she and her sister had qualified for the Olympics 1980 when they were 17, Canada would boycott that year’s summer games in Moscow. They did not qualify in 1984, and Vilagos decided to step away from the sport, moving on to a successful career as a financial planner. Five years later, however, her desire resurfaced, culminating with her and her sister standing together on the Olympic podium to receive their medals.

Today, Vilagos makes her story relevant to the challenges faced by employees, entrepreneurs and sales professionals. She hopes each person can walk away with an “Aha! Moment” and that she can make a difference.

Says Vilagos: “You’re always shooting to achieve your dream, overcoming fear and growing in the process.”
