Close-Up Talk Radio Spotlights Bojan Kuure

Anacortes, WA –“I love what I’m doing and I can’t get enough!” exclaims Bojan Kuure RN, Director of Surgical Services for Island Hospital located in the beautiful setting of Anacortes, Washington. Born in Finland, Bojan had an affinity for helping people and began volunteering at a local hospital during her high school years.

For almost 50 years, Bojan has been involved in operating rooms and medical services across the globe. Bojan has embarked on countless volunteer expeditions spanning much the world bringing her passion and extensive knowledge to all of those in need.

Bojan began her career in her native Finland where she worked as a staff nurse with specialty in open-heart surgery and taught at the University of Helsinki. At Island Hospital, Bojan Kuure has been the Director of Surgical Services since 1984.

“I’m tireless and I let my passions to drive me. I live for helping people and I truly enjoy my work in bringing people back to good health. I jump at the opportunity to travel and help people in different areas of the world. I’ve been very fortunate to be in the position I’m in and I want to share that with the world. There’s no slowing down!”

Throughout her magnificent career, Bojan made time in her hectic schedule to also be a part of a variety of organizations including Interplast, Healing The Children, Soroptimist International, and Operation Smile to name a few.
