Founded in 2010, Old Timers Guns and Ammo is not your ordinary gun and ammunition store. The father/son team of Pete and Travis Willet want people to truly know how to safely own and carry their products.

At Old Timers Guns and Ammo, people can buy, sell, and trade an assortment of traditional and modern guns including handguns, shotguns, and rifles. In addition, Old Timers Guns and Ammo offers a variety of classes enabling people to acquire permits to hunt, fish, trap, and carry firearms legally abiding by the FFL standard.

Vietnam Veteran and gun enthusiast Pete Willet has certainly experienced the power of weapons. “Out here in the country, we’re at the furthest end from police jurisdiction. Everything is spread out so much that it can honestly take police a half an hour to an hour to respond to a crime scene. People in the area have to make the decision to protect themselves. It definitely makes criminals think twice,” exclaims Pete Willet.

The idea of owning a firearm may be discouraging to some but Pete’s sentiment is clearly shared in the extreme spike in gun and ammunition sales after all of the recent school shootings. More than anything else, Pete wants people to understand their rights. Along with assisting people with getting the required permits, Old Timers Guns and Ammo sheds light on the many laws about carrying/using weapons across state lines.

“People come from all over to get take our classes and get their permits. We provide reloading services for people’s guns as well as teaching people how to reload their weapons themselves. There’s a wealth of knowledge that we can provide for everyone who owns or is interested in owning a firearm.”
