Columbia, MO – We’re all of us a work in progress, yet so often are we absorbed by the confusion of our lives that we neglect ourselves.

Sue McDaniel is the author of I.M. Heart, a guide to understanding ourselves: our feelings, our actions and our ability to heal the wounds of our past. The book invites readers on a remarkable journey of self-discovery and healing, encouraging each of us to notice and accept our feelings.

“When negative energy surrounds you, it can drain and deplete you, but that isn’t who we are,” says McDaniel. “Life should be uplifting and joyful and happy. We can choose to enjoy the positive things in our life or continue to dwell on the negative.”

McDaniel was inspired to write I.M. Heart in response to her own life experiences as well as observing the challenges faced by others. Her hope is that this book makes a positive difference in the lives of others.

“I wanted to share what I’d learned,” recalls McDaniel. “I saw other people who were struggling and I could immediately relate to what they were experiencing. I hoped what I wrote would help other people heal their own wounds and value themselves so they can move forward and be the happy and healthy person we are all meant to be.

“I encourage you to open your heart to listen to the feelings living there,” says McDaniel. “They tell you who you are, what is important to you, and what you want. Use the beat of your feelings as a guide for your life.”
