St. Joseph, MI – Joel Gibbons is an economist at heart. Through his years of experience as a commodity trader, Joel has seen it all. Joel expresses his observations and vast acquired knowledge through the art of writing.

Joel’s educational accomplishments include receiving a doctoral degree in mathematics from Northwestern University and earning a doctorate in economics from the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago. He has written on theory in economics and in mathematics, but integrative, multidisciplinary thinking is the focus of his books.

In his recent books, Joel shifts his focus from his previous works about economics and directs his attention towards more controversial topics regarding social sciences, spirituality, world politics, and international law. What pulls these ventures together is his insight into the Natural Law, which energizes all the social sciences. Joel covers these topics and more in Man and God in the World and The Empire Strikes a Match in a World Full of Oil.

Man and God in the World expresses a spiritual vision, but brings into it the discoveries of the social sciences, asking what our social science has to tell us about the Spirit and what the spirit has to tell us about society.

The Empire then looks at the needs of the World and its International Law, against the backdrop of the world scene today. A trader spends his days reading the news because he needs to understand what it going on and where it leads. A trader is a scientist of economics and politics every day.
