Courtney G. Pruitt is a former collegiate women’s basketball coach turned administrator. She is Athletic Director at Kilgore College in Texas. Prior to Kilgore, she held coaching and administratrive roles at several universities.

Pruitt joined the Panthers’ staff as Associate Head coach in 2020, after a five-year stint as head coach at Alcorn State. While coaching the Lady Braves, she oversaw development of some of the top players in the SWAC and authored one of the country’s most aggressive defensive units. 

Prior to Alcorn, she was head coach at Wiley College where she was the program's all-time winningest coach and was inducted into the Red River Athletic Conference Hall of Fame.

Pruitt began her coaching career at Lon Morris College, where she assisted the team to Region 14 conference semi-finals. In 2008, she headed to Ranger College, where her team set school records. In 2010-2011, she continued her coaching career as assistant coach at Tyler Junior College and helped lead the team to a 23-8 record as they produced one All-American and three all-conference players.

Pruitt earned an associate’s degree from Lon Morris College, a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College, and a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin.
