Pamela Richardson is Director of Marketing, Promotions, and Development for Hampton University Athletics. In this role, she leads marketing initiatives for HU’s 17 sports, promoting the HU Athletics brand locally and across the country. She also holds distinguished memberships with the City of Hampton’s Town and Gown Committee, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators, Women Leaders in Sports, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Her other significant achievements include:

  • Two national television (TV) ad campaigns with Nissan 
  • CLC’s 2020-21 Campus Integration Award recipient
  • Two Virginia Press Association Awards for print ads
  • Developer of online and retail campaigns with Sam’s Club and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
  • Co-Executive Producer for “Respect the H,” a 30-minute sports show (2 season) on WTVZ-TV (Hampton Roads, VA)

With over 20 years in the telecommunications industry, Pamela was Southeast Region Sales Manager at BellSouth, AT&T and YP.com in Atlanta, GA. She  also led the company’s annual employee giving campaigns for the United Negro College Fund, United Way, and Junior Achievement.

Pamela is a proud alumna of Hampton, where she earned a Mass Media Arts honors distinction, was an active student and Miss Hampton University 1982-83.
