Dionne McCollum is Director of Athletics & Student Athlete Development at Delta College. Over the past 3+ years, she's developed programs and events and overseen championship teams. Currently, she holds the role of Region XII DIV III softball chair and MCCAA women’s basketball chair.
Prior to arriving at Delta, Dionne was Assistant AD for the District of Columbia Public Schools in Washington, DC. During that time, she oversaw multiple sports and played a major role in the growth and expansion of middle and high school athletic programs.
Dionne also served as collegiate women's basketball coach at Pratt Community College, Kentucky State University (KSU), Marygrove College, and Elizabeth City State University (ECSU).
Additionally, she was an adjunct professor at ECSU and strength & conditioning coach at Academy of Oak Park in Oak Park, MI.
Dionne played basketball throughout her academic career, first at Wayne County Community College and then at KSU. She holds a BA in Physical Education from KSU, an MA in Athletic Training from The University of Findlay and is currently working on her PhD in Sports Leadership and Sports Management from University of Concordia Chicago.
Dionne is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and a native of Detroit, MI. She's married with three children.
