Anita Daniels is an expert in behavior change. She provides a safe space for people who are ready for a profound shift to do the inner work to accomplish the outer change they want to see in themselves...and their world. A licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addictions specialist, she offers counseling in behavioral health, employee assistance, mediation, and addictions.

A founding member, VP, and Co-Chair, of ASWIS, she provides sports counseling and consulting services to current and former collegiate and professional athletes, their families, athletic and university personnel, and other professionals serving this unique population. She was recently elected by ASWIS membership to serve as president of the organization. 

A NC licensed, certified forensic evaluator, Anita determines a defendant’s capacity to stand trial. She is also a certified NC DMV Substance Abuse Evaluator. She was recently honored with an appointment by Governor Roy Cooper to the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board. She has deep experience in education, delivering individual and group clinical supervision for LCSW, LCAS, LPC Associates, CSACs, and CSAC Interns. She's a social work adjunct in the School of Social Work at North Carolina Central University and a field instructor for college students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work, psychology, criminal justice, counseling, and human services. 

A published author in a number of spiritual publications, she's Assistant Minister of Congregational Care and Counseling at Union Baptist Church in Durham, NC. She brings superb listening skills, deep wisdom, and expert guidance to inspire, change behavior, and support people in making healthy, positive choices that work for them and their community, so those who come after her won’t have to.
