Claims against Cuba by US citizens with Jason Poblete, attorney

Guest: Jason Poblete joins me for a discussion of claims against the Cuban government by US citizens.  He the author of various articles about this topic.    Jason is one of the founding partners of the law firm Poblete Tamargo based in Washington DC.   He concentrates his practice on global trade and compliance, defense and commercial export controls, sanctions, such related areas as anti-boycott measures and Interpol defense, as well as other international legal matters.  At the moment, there are are many US citizens who have open claims to recover properties and assets confiscated by the Cuban government.   The issue had always been a problem in previous US-Cuba talks until President Obama went ahead and reestablished diplomatic relations with Cuba.   The embargo still stands and that may be the best hope to settle these claims.
