CCC speaks with Grammy nominated multitalented entertainer Lupita Infante

Lupita Infante is an American singer-songwriter. She sings traditional mariachi, norteño, and ranchera music. Infante's debut studio album La Serenata (2019) was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Regional Mexican Music Album (including Tejano). In 2020, her song "Dejaré" was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. Infante advocates for women's empowerment through her music.

She is the daughter of Pedro Infante Jr. and grandaughter to Pedro Infante, two prolific and influential entertainers in the Mexican community and culture. Lupita has been singing, dancing and playing instruments since a young age but it really wasn't until being noticed at The Voice Mexico's semifinal eliminations that her star took off. In just 3 years, she has released an album, been nominated for a Grammy AND Latin Grammy as well as performed at the Mariachi USA music festival at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl.
