Carl McCullough and his wife Jan, both natives of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, are parents of six children and grandparents of nine. Carl is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School.  He served 24 years as a Naval Aviator, flying three generations of single-seat, carrier-based jet aircraft.  Following his military service, he was an industry executive before returning to the federal government.  Over the next 13 years, he held various managerial and executive positions in the Federal Aviation Administration, the White House and the Pentagon. He repeatedly led high-performing teams.

A lifelong sports fan, Carl has attended two College Baseball World Series, three Final Fours, two NCAA national championship football games, and is a frequent attendee at Army-Navy football games, ACC basketball tournaments and NCAA regional competition. Carl points out that he hit his basketball peak on the “B Team,” or junior varsity, of the College High School Wildcats in 1960, under the tutelage of Coach Sid Burton. Tonight, we talk with Carl about his book Sid and the Boys.
