SDG 385: Covington Catholic and Our Friendly Enemy

1 John 2:15-17. and Genesis 13:5–12

This week we saw yet another issue blown out of proportion and spun to suit the "spirit of this age".

The Bible says in 1 John 2:15-17 KJV

[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. [17] And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Folks we must beware of the enemy that threatens us.  We are surrounded by an enemy disguised as our friend.  And that enemy is "the world" as defined by The Word of God

Now some say this is all in the minds of Christians to keep them in fear and towing the line, but as we'll see in this very important message this is a LITERAL BIBLICAL TRUTH!!!
