Romans 10:17-21
The book of Romans is the foundation for our faith the solid rock upon which we stand, and it also tells us about the grace of God. Grace a beautiful word: so let's make an acrostic out of grace, g-r-a-c-e: God's riches at Christ's expense, Biblical faith lays hold of what grace provides and without this faith there's no way we can acquire the grace of God. In other words, the grace of God can come into our lives only by the gift of faith, From Ephesians 2:8-9 we know: "For by grace are ye saved through faith." Now remember that Biblical f-a-i-t-h is declaring: Forsaking all, I trust Him. That's biblical faith. Forsaking all, forsaking your good works, good intentions, forsaking your sin, forsaking all that you are by nature and by the first birth. It is turning your back on all of that and surrendering to Jesus. Grace: God's riches at Christ's expense. Faith: forsaking all, I trust Him. So when you put hand of faith in God's hand of grace, that's salvation. "For by grace are ye saved through faith." It is Biblical faith that receives what grace provides.
