SDG 245 The Beatitudes 3 -The Meek are actually MIGHTY!

Matthew 5:5

If you are timid, shy and fearful then you are not mighty and certainly not meek!

Now that may sound foolish but its true because meekness is not what most people think it is.

A bridled horse; incredible strength under discipline; is the best example of meekness.

Jesus said in His 3rd Beatitude Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

WOW what an inheritance, so just what does it mean to be meek and mighty?

Well tune in as we learn about this Biblical truth from the most unlikely of places the training ring for horses!

We will lean three steps that trainers go through with horses and they are the very same steps we need to go through with our LORD Jesus Christ!

1) SELF RELEASE, 2) SELF RESTRAINT, and then...3) MEEKing the Horse!
 

So..

1) We must be submitted to the Son of God, responsive to the Word of God and  filled with the Spirit of God
