SDG 244 The Beatitudes 2 - Tears that Turn to Blessings

In Matthew 5:4 Jesus said, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."

Wow, what a statement by Jesus, mourn and you are blessed?  Mourn and you'll be comforted?  But that flies in the face of all the conventional wisdom of this world!!!

So what's up?  What did Jesus mean by this simple yet perplexing statement?  How can tears turn into blessings?
