Exodus 33:12–14

There are two ways that we can be acquainted with God.

We may know God’s works, what God does; or we can know God’s ways, who God is.

Now Moses didn’t say, “LORD, show me Your works.”, because he had already seen plenty of God’s works; he said, “LORD, if I’ve got a gigantic task to do, I want to know Your ways.”

And PTL, God answered his prayer.

The Bible says, “He made known His ways unto Moses, and His acts unto the children of Israel” (Psalm 103:7).

So Moses knew God’s ways and Israel knew God’s works.

They saw what God did, but Moses knew something that the rest of Israel did not know.

Hence these are the two levels of knowledge of God:

Some know God’s works, they see what God does; while others see God’s ways, they have insight into God’s character.

Now, knowing the ways of God will bring peace in a troubled world, and God knows that we are facing a troubled world.

So in these perilous days my prayer for all of us that that we might learn the ways of God that will bring peace in troubled times.
