SDG 128 Salvation Simplified

1 John 5:13

When it comes to our eternal salvation we need a know so salvation!

Jesus came to live the perfect life and die in our place and rise again so we could live with Him forever!  Now that's simple enough for a child to understand but so deep that it even confuses many scholars!

John wrote in 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Notice John didn't write "...that ye may HOPE that you have eternal life."  Or "...that ye may GUESS that you have eternal life." Or even "...that ye may WISH that you have eternal life."

John said: "...that ye may KNOW that you have eternal life."

K N O W!!!
 

Today many preach against the promise of eternal security and say it’s not “Once Saved Always Saved” also known as OSAS.

Now while they may be well intended perhaps what they are actually teaching about is what Paul referred to as false salvations! 

2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
