Matthew 5:4

Jesus said: "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

But He wasn’t talking about those who have heartaches, troubles and difficulties in life! This is the deepest word for the grief we feel at the graveside of a loved one. It's a very strong word, like the word lament used in Psalm 34:18

Yet today we have a dry-eyed church in a hell-bent world and one of the things that we haven’t learned to do is to mourn!

And so many of our church services are filled with a shallow cheerleader led worldly enthusiasm and that grieves my spirit, because the Bible says there's a time to laugh and there is a time to weep, but as far as our nation is concerned, I believe that it's time for America to be on her face before God.

Today homosexuality and abortion are widely embraced as viable "lifestyle choices" and there's unimaginable greed, lawlessness and crime in the banks, Wall Street and Washington DC as this nation, it’s laws and her wealth are being raped by the few.

And this war on terror" isn't about bringing freedom to others, it's all about preserving the phony private paper money system with dead presidents called "The Petro-Dollar" or The Federal Reserve Note!

Now our hearts ought to be touched by the gravity of these dark times and have a godly woe to mourn and to weep.

Remember Jesus says blessed, Blessed, BLESSED are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted!!!  Now Jesus was talking about those who primarily mourn over sin both their own and the sin of humanity.

So be sure to listen in and be blessed as we look at: The Guilt that Convicts Us via the deceiving, defiling and destroying power of sin. The Grief that Consumes Us.  And then: The God Who Comforts Us.
