SDG 11! When Sin's in the Camp We Lose the War

Victory is God's plan for His people. 

Would you like to overcome sin?  There is no power of Satan so strong that we cannot overcome it in the power of The Holy Spirit.  But do you want to know the bad news?  There is no power of Satan so small that we can overcome it by our own flesh!!!

 ONLY by the power of the resurrection will we be victorious!!!  See Romans 5:10.

 The book of Joshua is an Old Testament book that teaches, typifies and illustrates New Testament victory.  Today we are on a journey to uncover those truths in the Book of Joshua.

 This message  will look at the sin that lost the war.

Here are three points to keep in mind:

1) The Underlying CAUSE of that sin.

2) The Unfailing CURSE of this sin. 

3) The Ultimate CONSEQUENCE of this sin.

Sin brings defeat to the child of God.  Now this would be a low note to end on, and I don't want to do that...

So look at Proverbs 28:13

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Isn't that a great verse?!?

 Friends we can't really cover our sins, that's the point.  We can dig deeper than any man has ever dug, down to the very molten core of this earth and God will uncover our sin.  And we can heap mountains upon it but we will not cover it from God...

 But do you want to know what is so beautiful?  The moment we UNCOVER it, the moment we CONFESS it to God and repent and trusdt, then trust and obey that moment God covers it!

It is God's plan for you and me that we are to live victorious every day of our lives.  But REMEMBER sin will cause us to lose the war!!!
