Michael McKay was born and raised in metro-Atlanta. He earned a football scholarship to Gardner-Webb University, where he played quarterback. His senior he earned national all-star honors and received attention from professional football leagues. Michael graduated with a communications degree, with the goal of being a sportscaster if professional football wasn’t his calling. Four months later, Sept 9th 2000 his life changed, when he suffered a catastrophic brain injury from an automobile accident. He had little chance to live due to the extreme nature of his injuries.

After 7.5yrs of extensive rehab and thousands of prayers, he finally passed the medical exam to be medically cleared to drive. Michael is still in pursuit of his broadcasting goal, believing that God didn't bring him this far to leave him by himself. Michael is a beacon of light for others. He still desires to be a light as a TV/Radio personality. See: motivationwithmichael.com & youtu.be/-W45iH4AlYc
